2006 - 2007 Team Proposal

Thanks to the ECE department we have moved all but the cars and molds to the new lab at the AME.
The electricals are currently working on some rewiring of our system.
The mechanicals have a tough task ahead of them of shaping a new canopy and finishing the steering.

The team proposes a mission to revamp the current car, Drifter to an even more efficient and competitive racing car. During last year's North American Solar Challenge 2005, our team, unfortunately, was overcome with many last minute problems, and cost us our participation in the race. Since then, we have done a lot to fix, and further improve the car. Check out some of the updates below.

To succeed in this mission, we will need continued support from our past sponsors and welcome new sponsors. We have estimated a cost of $60,000 for both electrical and mechanical "missions". Unlike our 2005 - 2006 proposal, we will not be building a car from ground up but will be making many modifications that will greatly improver our car.

Once the appropriate modifications are done, we plan to acquire a significant amount of track time for testing, research, and development of the solar powered car.

So help us with our continuing goal of successfully harnessing the sun for our daily needs!
