Welcome!

Welcome to official website for the University of Arizona solar racing team! The team successfully completed the 2008 North American Solar Challenge, a timed 2400 mile race from Dallas, Texas to Calgary, Alberta. We finished 10th out of an initial field of 24 teams. We also participated in the Shell Eco-marathon Americas 2009 (Urban Challenege class), and will be competing again this year Shell Eco-marathon Americas 2010, which is March 26-28, 2010 in Houston, Texas.

Check out our blog to find out more about our race experience, as well as current projects.

We are always looking for sponsors. If you would like to sponsor the team or adopt a cell, check out the contributions section. There, you can view our current sponsors and learn how you can be one of our sponsors! Also, a special thanks to Solon for their generous support!

The team is participating in the 2010 Shell Ecomarathon (Urban Concept) competition for the second time.

Each team must make eight laps around a speedway and maintain an average of 15 mph. Urban Concept cars will also make three 10-second stops along the way. Marshals will inspect the cars and determine which went the farthest distance on the least amount of energy.
